Field Technician

We are looking for a field technician for our research service with field and nursery operations, which involves varied tasks that change with the seasons. The position primarily includes measurement, inventory, and maintenance of our research trials in the forest.

Responsibilities

• Establishing new field trials.
• Maintenance of trials, such as clearing grass and brush.
• Measurements in field trials.
• Collection of branches for grafting.
• The field trials are spread across southern and central Sweden, which often means traveling Monday to Friday.

• Has excellent flexibility and can adapt to changing tasks and work environments.
• Is meticulous and quality-conscious, as your contribution is crucial for obtaining accurate research data.
• Has good physical fitness – the work involves many hours outdoors in forests and fields.
• Enjoys working both independently and in a team.

The position

• Permanent full-time employment.
• Location: Uppsala

Qualifications

• Forestry or biological education, or equivalent experience.
• Driver's license (required).
• Good computer skills, preferably with GIS experience.
• License for brush cutter and/or chainsaw is an advantage.
